Privacy Policy
How the public website, contact enquiries and the local Quantum Navigator handle information.
1. Who controls your data
Quantum Byte Systems is the controller for personal data that you voluntarily send to the company in an enquiry or project discussion. Contact: [email protected]; +371 76358333; legal address: Rezeknes nov., Silmalas pag., Silmala, "Guntisi", LV-4630, Latvia; registration number 40203768610.
2. What this policy covers
This notice covers the public website, its contact-by-email flow and Quantum Navigator. It does not automatically cover a future client system, a separate contract, or third-party services that may later be added to the website. Those situations may require additional privacy information.
3. Data that may be processed
- When you write to the company: your name, email address, company/project information and anything you choose to include in the message.
- When you call: the contact details and information you choose to provide during the conversation.
- Browser-local data: language preference and Quantum Navigator conversation history are stored in your browser localStorage. Navigator history remains in that browser until you use the Clear control or delete the site data in the browser. Merely using Navigator does not send this local history to Quantum Byte Systems.
4. Why data is used and legal bases
- To answer an enquiry and assess a possible project. Where the request is made in order to enter into a contract, processing may be necessary for steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)).
- To maintain necessary business correspondence, protect the website and establish or defend legal claims where a legitimate-interest basis is appropriate (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)), subject to the required balancing of interests.
- To comply with legal obligations where applicable (GDPR Article 6(1)(c)).
This version of the website does not use consent as a basis for advertising cookies or marketing analytics because those features are not included in the site code. If they are added later, this policy and any consent mechanism must be updated before use.
7. Who may receive personal data
Personal data may be available only to persons who need it to respond to the enquiry or perform agreed work, and to service providers that are actually used for business email, hosting or professional support. No specific provider is named here unless its use has been confirmed. Data may also be disclosed where required by law or necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
8. International transfers
The website itself does not send Navigator messages to a remote chatbot service. If a production email, hosting or other provider processes personal data outside the European Economic Area, the transfer must rely on a lawful GDPR transfer mechanism and appropriate safeguards where required. This must be checked against the providers actually selected for production.
9. How long data is kept
Enquiry information is kept only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, assess the opportunity and complete relevant follow-up. If the enquiry leads to a contract, relevant correspondence may be kept for the duration needed to administer the contract, meet accounting or other legal obligations, and protect legal rights. If there is no ongoing purpose or legal requirement, information should be deleted or anonymised. Navigator conversation history stored locally in your browser remains there until you use the Clear control or remove the website data in the browser.
10. Your GDPR rights
- Request access to personal data and information about its processing.
- Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Request erasure or restriction where the legal conditions are met.
- Object to processing based on legitimate interests in circumstances provided by the GDPR.
- Receive or transmit data in a portable format where the right to portability applies.
- Withdraw consent at any time where a specific processing activity is based on consent; withdrawal does not affect earlier lawful processing.
- Lodge a complaint with a competent supervisory authority if you believe your data-protection rights have been infringed.
Requests can be sent to [email protected]. Identity may need to be verified before a request is fulfilled.
11. Security and data minimisation
Quantum Byte Systems should process only data that is reasonably necessary for the stated purpose and apply proportionate technical and organisational safeguards. No internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely risk-free, so do not include unnecessary confidential or sensitive information in an initial website enquiry.
12. Use of the website by minors
The website is intended for business and project enquiries and is not designed to collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data through the website, contact the company so the situation can be reviewed.
13. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when the website, hosting, contact process or data-processing practices change. Material changes should be reflected on this page before the changed processing begins where required. Last updated: 15 August 2026.
